E-Book Systems Brings Their Digital Flip Interface to
Your Living Room with New FlipAlbum Recorder
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 12, 2004--
E-Book Systems, the leader in 3D Digital Flip® technology --introduces
FlipAlbum® Recorder, a standalone device which lets you view, archive and
share your digital photos with friends and family. FlipAlbum® Recorder
incorporates a CD burner so you can distribute full resolution digital
photos via CDs burnt with a touch of a button.
Viewing your digital photos using FlipAlbum® Recorder is as simple as inserting your memory card or CD of photos, plugging the FlipAlbum® Recorder into your TV set, and your digital photos will be displayed as an album on your TV instantly. A remote control is provided for you to interact with your virtual album and you can set background music, album themes, auto-flip and others. With the touch of one button, you can archive your digital photos from your camera's memory card into inexpensive CD-R or CD-RW. The number of photos and resolutions are only limited by the capacity of the CD-R media, usually about 700MB. "In addition to the PC environment, we are excited to apply our Digital Flip® interface technology to a non-PC consumer device for the first time," stated Eugene Tan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for E-Book Systems. With FlipAlbum® Recorder, you can create FlipAlbums on CDs that you can distribute to friends and family. This is a great way to instantly distribute digital photos at parties, family gatherings and special occasions. FlipAlbum® Recorder does not require a PC to operate and can easily be transported to your living room, hotel room or even your office. FlipAlbum® Recorder will playback FlipAlbum CDs created on a PC or Mac. "The ability of FlipAlbum® Recorder to playback CDs created by the FlipAlbum® Professional software opens up several business applications since the process of using the FlipAlbum software to create business presentations and then showing them on TV through FlipAlbum Recorder is much easier than the process of having to handle complex video equipment to create presentations to be shown on TV," says Eugene Tan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for E-Book Systems. Business professionals can use FlipAlbum® Recorder to replace the VCR in kiosks and self-running demos. The creation process is simple: Use FlipAlbum® Professional on your PC to create your presentation flipbook and output to CD. This CD will auto-play on FlipAlbum® Recorder and is displayed onto the connected TV - no PC or VCR required SRP for FlipAlbum® Recorder is $299 and is only available at http://www.flipalbum.com/.
