Vogel Burda Media - China - Chooses E-Book Systems' Digital Flip Technology for Online Version of CHIP China
Tuesday March 23, 9:38 am ET
Leading China IT Magazine is the First Magazine to Utilize Digital Flip(R) in China

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2004-- CHIP China, a computer and communications magazine, has signed an agreement to use E-Book Systems' Digital Flip® Technology for their online version. E-Book Systems, the leader in 3D Digital Flip® technology, creates dynamic 3-D page-turning digital "FlipBooks" out of any document.

CHIP China is a copyright partner of CHIP, a world famous IT magazine launched in Germany by the Vogel Burda Media Group in 1978, and is one of the most important member in CHIP's affiliates. CHIP China is one of the top three IT magazines in China and it provides reviews on current hardware and software available in the market through tests conducted at CHIP China's test labs.

The Digital Flip® technology will allow visitors to go to http://www.chip.cn/ and simply click on a link to automatically download the magazine and install FlipViewer(TM), which allows visitors to view the magazine as it appears in the printed version. Once the program is downloaded and for all subsequent visits, the reader needs only to click on the magazine link on the site and the FlipBook version of the publication will open immediately

E-Book Systems CEO, Richard Wan, and Vogel Burda Media (China) Vice GM, Wang Wei, hope that through this joint co-operation, a new revolutionary way of reading e-magazines on PC screens through page-flipping can be started in China.
