E-Book Systems' Award Winning FlipAlbum is Now Cross Platform Compatible
Monday August 18, 9:12 am ET
New Version of FlipAlbum Will Allow Users to View Albums on Windows And Mac Platforms

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 2003--E-Book Systems, Inc., announces the release of the Mac FlipAlbum® 3 Suite and Mac FlipAlbum® 3 Pro as well as a new version of FlipAlbum® 5.5 Windows® series. The FlipAlbum® product line is the only software that allows users to instantly create digital photo albums or product catalogs featuring patented E-Book Systems' 3D page-flipping interface.

With the introduction of the new Mac FlipAlbum® series with CD export capabilities, album CDs created by both Mac FlipAlbum® and FlipAlbum® 5.5 Windows® will be cross platform compatible. The same album CD can playback on either Mac® or Windows® machines without any installation of software.

"We believe this cross platform compatibility in a SINGLE CD is a unique and overwhelming feature to the end users' consideration of a shared album CD. They no longer have to worry about which type of machines their friends have," says Eugene Tan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for E-Book Systems.

More than 1 million copies of FlipAlbum® products have been sold and E-Book Systems continues to improve the product to fit the end users needs. FlipAlbum® 5.5 (Windows®) has the following new features:

  • QuickStart Wizard. A 3-step wizard to guide new users in creating an album quickly by opening a folder of photos.
  • Cross platform compatibility. Album CDs created can be played back on both Mac® and Windows® machines.
  • A Theme Creator. Users can now create their own themes for albums.
  • Grid, guides and ruler for page layout and alignment.

FlipAlbum® 5.5 Standard (SRP $19.95) and Suite (SRP $59.95) are available today while FlipAlbum® 5.5 Pro (SRP $129.95) will be available early September 2003. Version 5.5 is a FREE upgrade for existing version 5.0 registered users.

E-Book Systems is also excited to announce the availability of Mac FlipAlbum® Pro (SRP $149.95) in early September 2003. Mac FlipAlbum® Pro offers encryption and CD access control features for commercial business use and will have cross platform compatibility.
